Janet Jackson releases music video for comeback single "No Sleeep"

Janet Jackson has dropped her music video for her latest single "No Sleep." The video, her first since 2010's "Nothing," contains the album version of the song and features an added rap by J. Cole; opposed to the single version released last month which featured Jackson singularly. The song comes from Jackson's still untitled upcoming 11th studio album, her first since 2008's Discipline. The single and album will serve as the first releases from Jackson's Rhythm Nation record label, distributed by BMG.

Jackson premiered the video today on her YouTube channel with the caption, "I hope u enjoy watching this as much as we enjoyed making it. #NoSL333P"

"No Sleeep" is a collaboration of Jackson with longtime musical partners Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, whom first worked with Jackson on her 1986 breakthrough album Control.
The song is reminiscent of her previous single "That's The Way Love Goes" from the Janet album (1993) while the video harkens back "I Get Lonley" from The Velvet Rope (1997).

The video is features sleek imaging and minimal effects as Jackson grooves to the mellow vibe of the beats. David Meyers served as the video's director. Meyers had worked with Jackson previously on her videos for "All For You," "Just A Little While," and "I Want You." Meyers has also directed videos for Britney Spears, Pink, Katy Perry, and Missy Elliot.

Director David Meyers posted this photo to Facebook with the caption "Been up all night @JanetJackson @flytetymejam … the sun is up. Time for ....#UnbreakableWorldTour#JANet #setlife"
